Abe's Story is a period drama set in the late Victorian era, following Abe, an Irish writer's assistant struggling under the shadow of his employer, the renowned stage actor Henry. As Abe travels the globe with Henry's theatrical troupe, he draws dark inspiration from their adventures to craft a sinister novel featuring a brutal protagonist. Caught between his aspirations as a writer and his duties as an assistant, Abe's journey becomes one of creative awakening amid the glamour and chaos of international theater. The film explores how art emerges from lived experience, as Abe transforms his observations of human nature—both on and offstage—into fiction that grows increasingly disturbing and compelling.
