Reconciliation(2009)

Reconciliation is a drama about a man forced to confront his estranged father after decades of silence. Grant Taylor has carried childhood shame and anger since learning his father was gay at age ten—a revelation that led him to disown Jeff at his own birthday party. Now, as Grant prepares to become a father himself, he's haunted by old wounds. When Jeff falls terminally ill and requests a final meeting, Grant's pregnant wife Sara urges him to visit the hospice. After sixteen years apart, father and son must face each other and the painful past that divided them. The film explores whether forgiveness is possible when abandonment and rejection run deep, and what it means to break cycles of hurt before the next generation arrives.
