The story follows Mao Bupo, an eccentric Jianghu warlock, and his apprentices Bai Qi and Bai Yuan as they pursue the murderous Wang Liniang to Heling City. After Bai Qi defeats Wang Liniang and a two-headed serpent creature, the dying villain's cryptic final words and a mysterious symbol unsettle Mao Bupo, forcing him to confront troubling questions about years of bloodshed and violence. The film blends martial arts action with supernatural elements, exploring themes of morality and consequence against a backdrop of historical upheaval.
