The Midnight Limited(1915)

The Midnight Limited is a silent film about a drunken traveler whose careless display of cash attracts the attention of two seasoned thieves. When Griffin boards a train after a night of drinking, Wheeler and Walter spot their opportunity and follow him to the station. They board the moving train by dropping onto its roof, planning to rob him in his berth. A mix-up leaves Helen, a fellow passenger, in Griffin's assigned cabin while he sleeps off his intoxication in hers. When Wheeler attempts to break in through the window hours later, Helen wakes to find an intruder climbing inside. She tries to fight back, but Wheeler overpowers her, disarms her gun, and escapes back to the roof. The film unfolds as a tense game of cat and mouse aboard the speeding train.
