The Golden Fern(1963)

The Golden Fern is a fantasy film about a woodcutter who discovers a magical golden fern in the forest. When its seed transforms into a beautiful woman, the two fall in love. After a drunken night at a village celebration, the woodcutter impulsively enlists in the army. Before he leaves, the fairy woman gives him a enchanted shirt and makes him swear never to abandon it. At the war front, the woodcutter becomes captivated by the colonel's daughter and must prove himself through a series of dangerous feats to win her heart. Caught between two loves and bound by a magical oath, he faces impossible choices that will test his loyalty and courage.
