A Love Story(1954)

A Love Story is a Chinese romantic comedy about two roommates, Peng Zigang and Zhao Xiaoping, who share cramped quarters and compete fiercely when their girlfriends need housing. The landlord settles the dispute by placing the women in a neighboring room. Kong's girlfriend Dufen is fashion-forward while he remains simple; Ping's partner Tang Ying is reserved despite his outgoing nature. As personality clashes mount, both couples fracture—but fate has other plans. Each man ends up marrying his best friend's former girlfriend, turning a love triangle into an unexpected resolution.
