Pretty Young Thing(2022)

Pretty Young Thing is a Swedish coming-of-age film about three freshman friends whose bond fractures under the pressures of high school initiation rituals. When Frida develops feelings for Nadja's older boyfriend Emil and gets invited to an exclusive first-year party while her best friend Selma is left out, jealousy and desire threaten to unravel their friendship. Set against the backdrop of Rosenholm High School, the film explores how adolescent crushes and social hierarchies can test even the strongest bonds. As the girls navigate the unwritten rules of fitting in, they discover that the rituals meant to unite them may ultimately tear them apart.
