Beautiful Voyage is a Chinese drama film following Amy, a post-90s returnee from a single-parent home who discovers a clue to her biological father's identity in her late mother's diary. Determined to find him, she embarks on a journey along the Yangtze River. When a wandering singer named Tao appears—initially drawn to her by a misunderstanding about suicide—he offers to guide her search. As they travel together, Amy uncovers the truth behind her father's disappearance while uncovering a decades-old emotional secret involving four college students from thirty years prior. The investigation also reveals that Tao harbors a hidden identity of his own. The film blends mystery and romance as past and present intersect along the river's path.
