Silent Victim(1993)

Silent Victim is a drama about an abusive husband who sues his wife for property damage and breach of trust after she attempts suicide and loses their unborn child. The wife, desperate and traumatized, hires a feminist lawyer from New York to defend her in court. Set in Newnan, Georgia, a deeply conservative, pro-life town, the case becomes a battleground over bodily autonomy, reproductive rights, and justice. The film explores the intersection of domestic abuse, legal systems, and regional ideology as the defense mounts an uphill fight against a hostile community and a husband determined to punish his wife for her loss.
