Donya(2002)

Donya is an Iranian drama following a young woman who returns to Tehran and approaches Hadji Reza Enayat, a conservative real estate agent, seeking his help to find a house. She quickly charms the stern, married man into falling for her and proposing marriage, despite his devoted wife. As Hadji attempts to conceal his affair from his family, awkward and darkly comic situations unfold. The film gradually reveals that Donya harbors a hidden agenda beneath her seductive exterior, a secret that emerges only in the final act. What begins as a tale of infidelity transforms into something more complex, exploring themes of deception, desire, and the consequences of moral compromise in contemporary Iranian society.
