JOINT(2020)

Joint follows Ishigami Takeshi, a man fresh out of prison who returns to Tokyo determined to leave crime behind. With help from his best friend Yasu, Takeshi has saved enough to start over, but breaking free from the yakuza requires more money than he has. He partners with his Korean friend Junghi and begins selling phone fraud data to Yuki, a yakuza contact, hoping the business will fund his escape. As the operation expands and profits grow, Takeshi inches closer to freedom—until a yakuza family split erupts into open war. Caught between his ambitions and old loyalties, Takeshi finds himself pulled back into the criminal underworld he fought so hard to leave.
