Naradan(2022)

Naradan is a Malayalam-language drama about Chandraprakash, a respected TV news anchor whose career takes a dark turn when corporate pressure forces him to chase sensational exclusives. Unable to sustain his integrity under the demands of his superiors, he abandons his post. A rival media group quickly recruits him, and Chandraprakash reinvents himself as an aggressive, domineering journalist who trades truth for theatrical spectacle. The film explores how ambition and institutional pressure can corrupt even principled professionals, transforming them into willing purveyors of manufactured outrage. As Chandraprakash descends into this new role, Naradan examines the corrosive effects of competitive media culture on both individuals and society, asking what journalists owe their audiences when ratings and profit margins drive editorial decisions.
