AnnDroid(2020)

AnnDroid is a Russian comedy series about an android policewoman deployed to a provincial city. Captain Anna Nikolaevna Korolkevich, a creation of Russian scientists, is designed to be the perfect officer—but her true mission is to experience real life and develop humanity. Her new colleagues believe she's the daughter of a deputy minister, which buys her credibility in the precinct. As Anna begins to adapt to human behavior and emotions, her artificial nature threatens to expose itself, creating escalating complications. The series balances satirical humor with the android's earnest attempts to understand what it means to be human, exploring themes of identity and belonging through the clash between her programmed perfection and the messy reality of everyday police work.
