Brendon Chase(1982)

Brendon Chase is a British series following three brothers—Robin, John, and Harold—who rebel against strict discipline during a 1925 summer stay at their aunt's country estate. When Harold falls ill and quarantine looms, the boys flee into the forest, determined to live the adventure they've always imagined. What begins as an escape quickly turns precarious: they must survive in a hollow tree trunk while their worried aunt alerts the police. Sergeant Bunting joins the search, but a ruthless journalist complicates matters, hunting the brothers for a story. When the sickly Harold vanishes, the stakes rise further.
