Drew Carey's Green Screen Show(2004)

Drew Carey's Green Screen Show is an improvisational comedy series that premiered on The WB in fall 2004 before moving to Comedy Central the following year. Hosted by Drew Carey, the show builds on the format of his earlier hit Whose Line Is It Anyway?, but with a twist: performers act out improv games against a green screen, with animation, music and sound effects added in post-production to create surreal, often hilarious results. The setup allows animators to manipulate the visual landscape around the comedians in real time, amplifying the absurdity of their performances. The series features many of the same talented improvisers and classic games from Whose Line?, maintaining the fast-paced, unpredictable energy that made that show a cult favorite. Carey conceived the idea after imagining how funny it would be if audiences couldn't see the hands controlling the players during improv scenes.
