The Black Fox(2011)

The Black Fox is a Chinese historical drama set in early Republican Shanghai. Gu Han Sen, a powerful and well-connected patriarch, raises two adopted sons—Liao Si Cheng and Fang Tian Yi—alongside his daughter Ting Gu. The three grow up as siblings with deep bonds. Fang Tian Yi, honest and devoted to family, harbors a secret love for Ting Gu but must suppress his feelings when he discovers she loves Liao Si Cheng instead. As political turmoil engulfs Shanghai, the family's loyalties and relationships are tested, forcing each member to navigate competing desires, duty, and survival in a fractured nation.
