A Year in the Life(1987)

A Year in the Life is a drama series following the Gardner family of Seattle through a year of personal upheaval. Joe Gardner, a successful plastics manufacturer, navigates life with his four adult children: Anne, a twice-divorced mother of two teenagers returning home; Lindley and her husband Jim, adjusting to new parenthood; the family's black sheep Jack; and conservative Sam, newly married to the free-spirited Kay. As each sibling grapples with their own challenges—divorce, marriage, parenthood, and identity—the family's bonds are tested and strengthened. The series explores how a tight-knit household manages conflicting values, generational differences, and the messy reality of adult family life under one roof.
