Tarzan(1966)

Tarzan is a 1966 adventure series that reimagined the iconic character as an educated man who abandoned civilization to return to the jungle of his childhood. NBC's two-season run retained familiar elements like Cheetah while introducing a modernized take on the classic tale, dropping Jane from the narrative as part of producer Sy Weintraub's "new look" for the apeman. The show drew from Weintraub's earlier film adaptations and maintained the action-adventure tone audiences expected from the character. CBS later broadcast reruns during the summer of 1969, extending the series' reach beyond its original network run.
