Life after divorce is never easy, but it's easier with friends

Dear John is a sitcom following John Lacey, an easygoing high school teacher at Drake Prep who gets blindsided when his wife Wendy dumps him via letter. After losing everything in the divorce—including custody of their son—John relocates to a modest apartment in Ozone Park, Queens. Desperate for connection, he joins the One-2-One Club, a support group for divorced, widowed, and lonely people led by the brash, sex-obsessed British woman Louise. The ragtag membership includes Kate, a sweet divorcée; Kirk, a cocky ladies' man; Ralph, a nervous tollbooth collector; and Bonnie, a feisty senior citizen with her quiet boyfriend Tom. As John navigates single life and rebuilds himself among this misfit crew, the group becomes an unlikely found family bound by shared heartbreak and humor.
