Fujin no Mon(1980)

Fujin no Mon is a historical drama series set twelve years after the Battle of Sekigahara, when the Toyotomi family remains sealed in Osaka Castle by Tokugawa Ieyasu. Tension simmers beneath an uneasy peace as both clans engage in covert espionage. When Iga Ninja leader Kirigakure Saizo is mysteriously attacked, he becomes entangled in a dangerous web of intrigue. A Koga ninja group led by Sarutobi Sasuke pledges allegiance to Sanada Yukimura, while Saizo faces off against the legendary Fuma Clan in brutal ninjutsu combat. As these shadowy conflicts escalate, they set in motion the events that will ultimately bring the Warring States period to an end. The series weaves together ninja warfare, political machination, and the collision of rival powers during Japan's tumultuous transition to peace.
