Tokyo MPD – From ZERO to HERO is a Japanese drama series following Jun'ichi Ōiwa, head of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's elite First Investigative Division. Leading roughly 400 detectives, Ōiwa shoulders enormous responsibility: he responds to brutal crime scenes across the metropolis, directs multiple investigation task forces, and personally handles cases at their critical moments. Yet he's no superhero. Struggling with the weight of his role, Ōiwa perseveres through doubt and exhaustion, becoming a grounded, relatable leader—a "life-size hero" to his team.
