Wife on Duty is a Thai drama following Tawan, a young woman forced into servitude in her aunt-in-law's household. When her uncle arranges a marriage between their families to settle a debt, Tawan is sent to marry Tomorn in place of her cousin Yadfa, who refuses him. At Tomorn's estate, Tawan discovers her new life is far from secure. She faces constant cruelty from Sawai, Tomorn's domineering mother, alongside manipulation from the household nanny and a jealous friend who harbors romantic feelings for Tomorn. Trapped in a marriage built on deception and desperation, Tawan must navigate a hostile family dynamic while protecting her secret identity.
