The Tournament is a Canadian mockumentary series that aired on CBC Television in 2005 and 2006. The show follows a community minor hockey team as they pursue a spot in the annual youth hockey championship tournament, capturing the behind-the-scenes dynamics between players, parents, and coaches. Starring Alain Goulem, Paula Boudreau, Christian Potenza, Emily Tilson, and Ari Cohen, The Tournament blends comedy with the pressures of competitive youth sports. Seven episodes aired during the 2004-05 season in early 2005, followed by ten episodes in 2005-06. The CBC cancelled the series after two seasons in February 2006, ending its run before the 2006-07 television season.
