Taratata(1993)

Taratata is a French music television series that premiered in 1993 on France 2, hosted by Nagui. The show spotlights live and pre-recorded performances from rock and contemporary artists, often pairing unexpected guests in surprise duets alongside brief interviews. Known for launching French TV debuts of artists like Devendra Banhart, Katie Melua, and Ayo, Taratata became recognized by French broadcasting authorities for its commitment to original music and creative presentation. The series was cancelled in 2000 but returned in 2005 across multiple French networks before ending in 2013. It aired internationally on TV5MONDE Europe and was adapted for Dubai Television. Though the traditional broadcast format concluded, Taratata continued as a web-based program, with a final concert held at Zénith de Paris in October 2013.
