Antheon Street(1988)

Antheon Street is a Greek series about an engaged couple caught between warring families. George, an office worker, and Elsa plan to marry, but her snobbish mother refuses to accept "the grocer's son" as her daughter's husband. She weaponizes her disapproval through constant nagging and manufactured crises. George's mother, who runs a boutique on the same street, proves equally determined to sabotage peace with Elsa's family. As both families live in close proximity, their feuds intensify, testing whether George and Elsa's love can survive the relentless friction between their in-laws and siblings. The series explores how family pride and class prejudice threaten to derail the couple's happiness.
