Sugarfoot(1957)

Sugarfoot is an American western series that aired on ABC from 1957 to 1961, starring Will Hutchins as Tom Brewster, an Easterner determined to become a lawyer in the Oklahoma Territory. Brewster is a correspondence-school student whose clumsy attempts at cowboy life earn him the nickname "Sugarfoot"—a rank even below tenderfoot. Jack Elam appears occasionally as his sidekick Toothy Thompson. The show follows Brewster's misadventures as he navigates the frontier while pursuing his legal ambitions, blending comedy with western adventure as he learns the ways of the territory.
