Ídolos Portugal(2003)

Ídolos Portugal is a talent competition series adapted from the British format Pop Idol. Broadcast on SIC, the show searches for singing talent across the country through live performances and judge critiques. The first two seasons were hosted by Sílvia Alberto and Pedro Granger, airing Friday nights. From season three onward, Cláudia Vieira and João Manzarra took over hosting duties, expanding the live broadcasts to Sunday evenings as well. Contestants compete for the chance to launch recording careers, performing covers and original material before a panel of industry experts. The format combines high-stakes live television with the raw energy of discovering new voices, making it a cornerstone of Portuguese pop culture and entertainment.
