Clash of the Choirs is a reality competition miniseries that premiered on NBC on December 17, 2007. Hosted by Maria Menounos and broadcast live from Brooklyn, the four-episode competition pitted 20-person choirs assembled in the hometowns of celebrity mentors against each other for bragging rights and a $250,000 prize pool. The format, developed by Friday TV, saw choirs compete across multiple cities, with winnings donated to charities in their home regions. Public voting determined the winner after four nights of live performances. Nick Lachey's choir, featuring the former 98° member, claimed victory, with Patti LaBelle, Blake Shelton, Michael Bolton, and Kelly Rowland's teams rounding out the top five. All competing choirs received donations, with the top winner's charity receiving the largest contribution. Sony Pictures partly backed the competition to promote its film First Sunday.
