The Storks Will Return(2007)

The Storks Will Return is a Serbian series following two petty criminals, Svaba and Ekser, struggling to survive on Belgrade's streets. Svaba's debt to a dangerous local gangster pushes them to the brink until his mother unexpectedly inherits a house in Baranda, a forgotten village outside the city. The pair rush there hoping to sell the property and escape their troubles, but the villagers welcome them as promising businessmen ready to revitalize their dying community. What unfolds is a darkly comedic clash between the hustlers' desperate schemes and the villagers' hopeful dreams, as the two worlds collide in this tale of mismatched ambitions and second chances.
