Sliders(1995)
Sliders is a science fiction series about Quinn Mallory, a brilliant teenager who builds a device in his San Francisco basement that opens portals to parallel Earths. When a power surge during a test run traps Quinn, his coworker Wade, his professor, and a washed-up soul singer named Rembrandt in an alternate world, the four must learn to "slide" between dimensions in search of home. Each world presents a radically different version of reality—some thriving, others dystopian—forcing the group to adapt quickly while unraveling the mystery of their displacement. As they jump from dimension to dimension, they grapple with the possibility that they may never return to their original Earth. The series blends adventure, mystery, and philosophical questions about identity and belonging across infinite variations of human civilization.
