The Ultimatum is a Singaporean Chinese drama that aired on MediaCorp Channel 8 from May to July 2009. The 30-episode series was the channel's first drama shot entirely in HD and served as its mid-year flagship production. It featured established stars including Zoe Tay, Li Nanxing, and Fann Wong alongside newcomers like Jerry Yeo, whose antagonist role earned widespread praise. Despite high expectations and heavy promotion, the drama received mixed reviews. Critics found the casting choices questionable and faulted the script for lacking originality in places, while others felt the melodramatic tone overwhelmed the narrative.
