That Girl(1966)

That Girl is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from 1966 to 1971, starring Marlo Thomas as Ann Marie, an aspiring actress who leaves her hometown of Brewster, New York for New York City. Struggling to land acting roles, Ann takes a string of quirky temporary jobs to pay the bills while auditioning for parts. Ted Bessell plays her boyfriend Donald Hollinger, a magazine writer, while Lew Parker and Rosemary DeCamp portray her protective parents. The ensemble cast includes Bernie Kopell, Ruth Buzzi, and Reva Rose as Ann and Donald's friends. Created by Bill Persky and Sam Denoff—both former head writers on The Dick Van Dyke Show—That Girl captures the comedic misadventures of a young woman pursuing her dreams in the city.
