The World's Greatest Magic is a series of American television specials that aired on NBC from 1994 to 1998, each broadcast during the Thanksgiving holiday season. Hosted by Robert Urich, Alan Thicke, and John Ritter across five editions, the specials featured world-class magicians performing elaborate illusions. Franz Harary's space shuttle vanish, Penn and Teller's magic bullet catch, The Pendragons' disappearance of twenty-five Vegas showgirls, and Lance Burton's Jaws of Death escape ranked among the closing acts. A recurring segment called the Mac King School of Magic taught viewers simple tricks they could recreate at home, with King breaking down each illusion's steps after commercial breaks. The specials later reran on ABC Family from 1996 to 2002, introducing the magic showcase to new audiences.
