Jake Thackray and Songs(1981)

Jake Thackray and Songs is a six-part British television series from 1981 featuring the folk singer-songwriter performing live with guests across various venues. Recorded in 1980 and broadcast on BBC2, the series captures Thackray's distinctive storytelling style and musical craft in an intimate, performance-focused format. A companion live album was recorded at the Stables Theatre in Milton Keynes and released by Dingles Records in 1983, though it has since gone out of print. All six episodes survive in the BBC archives, preserving this snapshot of British folk music from the early 1980s.
