Hawaiian Heat(1984)

Hawaiian Heat is an American drama series that aired on ABC starting September 14, 1984. The show follows two Chicago cops who abandon their careers in the Windy City to become detectives in Honolulu. Robert Ginty and Jeff McCracken star as the transplanted officers, while veteran actor Mako plays their new boss at the Honolulu Police Department. Director Ivan Dixon helmed many of the episodes. Despite initial promise, Hawaiian Heat struggled to find an audience and lasted just eleven episodes, including the pilot movie. The series' theme song, "Goodbye Blues," has since found new life as the opening theme for online content creator Brad Jones's retro television show.
