My Romance From Far Away is a Thai drama series centered on a custody battle following a tragic car accident. When Captain Phasut and his wife Namping die in a crash en route to Chiang Mai, their six-year-old son Tawan is left orphaned. Khunkhao, Namping's brother and a coffee estate owner, steps in to arrange the funeral and becomes protective of the boy. Tension erupts when Thofah, Phasut's sister, arrives to take Tawan to Bangkok to live with their grandfather Athit—a man the child has never met.
