The Travel Nurse(2022)

The Travel Nurse follows Nasuda Ayumi, a skilled nurse practitioner who returns to Japan after years working in the US, where he held advanced medical qualifications. Back home, he discovers that Japan's healthcare system operates differently—nurse practitioners are virtually unknown, and nurses occupy a subordinate role to doctors. Assigned to Amano General Medical Centre, Ayumi meets Kuki Shizuka, a quiet, unassuming figure whom most staff mistake for a cleaner. Shizuka is actually an exceptional nurse with remarkable abilities. As the two become partners, Ayumi must adapt to a new professional culture while learning from someone whose talents far exceed first appearances. The series explores the clash between Western and Japanese medical practices through their growing partnership.
