Using advanced detection technology, wartime archives and period maps, the pair identify promising dig sites at forgotten military locations—former bases, airfields, POW camps and barracks. As relics emerge from the ground, they investigate the stories behind each discovery, interviewing survivors, experts and historians to piece together what happened at these sites. The series combines the thrill of excavation with historical detective work, uncovering personal narratives from Britain's WW2 past.
