Blood River(2024)

Blood River is a historical drama set in 1837 South Africa, following a community of French-born Huguenots who venture into the hinterland seeking a new home. Catherine and her children Marthe and Joseph travel with Pastor Malan's devout group, hoping to establish a peaceful settlement. Their journey takes a dramatic turn when they discover the land is inhabited by the Zulu people, who are determined to protect their territory. The series explores the collision between two cultures, the settlers' struggle for survival, and the moral complexities of colonization. Tension mounts as the community faces the reality that their promised refuge comes at a devastating cost, forcing them to confront both external threats and their own convictions.
