Home Movies(1999)

Home Movies follows Brendon Small, an ambitious eight-year-old filmmaker who directs hundreds of homemade movies with his friends Jason and Melissa as reluctant stars. Living with divorced parents feels normal to Brendon—it's Jason whose household seems unusual because his parents are still together. At school, the eccentric Coach John McGuirk teaches soccer with his own brand of chaotic wisdom. The series captures the creative chaos of childhood filmmaking, where imagination runs wild and friendship is tested by artistic vision. Brendon's relentless drive to make movies, combined with the everyday absurdities of elementary school life, creates a darkly comedic portrait of growing up.
