Blake and Mortimer is an animated series based on Edgar Pierre Jacobs' classic comic books. Directed by Stéphane Bernasconi and produced by Ellipse, the show aired in 1997 and adapts the first nine stories from the source material alongside four original adventures: The Viking's Bequest, The Secret of Easter Island, The Alchemist's Will, and The Druid. The new episodes were crafted by writers connected to the production, who crafted fresh plotlines while honoring Jacobs' blend of magic and science. Blake and Mortimer follows the titular detectives as they uncover mysteries that blend the extraordinary with the rational, maintaining the tone and universe of the beloved comics while introducing viewers to unexplored cases and untold secrets.
