Pride(2004)

Pride is a Japanese drama series following Haru Satonaka, an ice-hockey captain and star athlete who treats love as casually as he plays the sport. When he meets Aki Murase, a woman still waiting for her absent lover, they agree to a relationship with no strings attached—just a game between two people. But as they grow closer, their guarded hearts begin to crack. Both carry unresolved pasts and fierce pride that complicates their arrangement. What starts as a calculated affair becomes something neither of them anticipated, forcing them to confront what they've been running from and whether love can ever truly be just a game.
