Taking in a Stray is a Japanese drama series following Ai Morikawa, a dedicated Tokyo office worker whose solitary routine is disrupted when her sister's 16-year-old stepson, Nagisa, arrives at her door. With his parents relocating overseas for work, the teenager has nowhere else to go. Ai and Nagisa are both guarded loners separated by a decade in age, forced to navigate an unexpected living arrangement. As two people accustomed to independence collide under one roof, they must learn to coexist and gradually build an unconventional family bond. The series explores how two isolated souls find connection through daily life, compromise, and the slow discovery that companionship can heal old wounds.
