Kamen Rider Kuuga is a Japanese tokusatsu series that begins when archaeologists accidentally release the Grongi, an ancient race of monsters, from a sealed tomb. Yusuke Godai, an ordinary young man, discovers he shares a telepathic connection with Kuuga's legendary belt and gains the power to transform into the armored warrior. As the Grongi systematically hunt humans for sport, Godai must master his newfound abilities to protect humanity from extinction. The series blends action-packed transformation sequences with character-driven drama, following Godai's journey from reluctant hero to determined protector. Kuuga launched the modern Kamen Rider franchise and established the template for tokusatsu superhero storytelling that continues today.
