Charmed is a Russian historical drama following Semyon Neupokoev, a decorated Cossack warrior from the First World War, as he leads a cavalry unit against German forces during the Second World War. Nicknamed "the Charmed One" for his survival and cunning in earlier combat, Neupokoev must rely on his battle-tested instincts and intimate knowledge of the Don steppes to defend his homeland. Armed only with sabers and horses, his hundred-strong regiment faces overwhelming German firepower, including tanks and artillery. The conflict intensifies when Colonel Ritter, a seasoned German commander with a personal vendetta against Neupokoev from their previous encounters, arrives to crush the resistance.
