This Is Gonna Be Great is a comedy series following David, a 28-year-old who relocates to Berlin to be with his girlfriend—only to be dumped the moment he arrives. Rather than retreat, David stubbornly refuses to abandon his romantic ideals about friendship, love, and adult responsibility. He decides to stay in the city anyway. What unfolds is a darkly comic portrait of misplaced optimism as reality repeatedly collides with David's delusional expectations. The series captures the messy, often cringe-worthy gap between how we imagine our lives should go and what actually happens when we're forced to fend for ourselves in an unfamiliar place with nothing but hope and delusion to sustain us.
