Once Upon A Time In The North(1994)

Once Upon a Time in the North is a British comedy series set in the working-class town of Sutton Moor. Len Tollit is a proud, stubborn family man determined to prove his worth to those he feels look down on him—a trait that constantly puts him at odds with his exasperated wife, Pat. Their household is crowded with complications: their two children, pre-teen Sean and teenage Siobhan navigating adolescence, plus Mr Bebbington, their late mother's former boyfriend who's overstayed his welcome in the granny flat for months. While Pat pushes Len to evict him, Len treats Bebbington as family. Adding to the chaos is Len's eccentric brother Morris, a spiritual drifter who drifts between hippy philosophy and outright foolishness. The series captures the everyday tensions and absurdities of working-class family life, where pride, loyalty, and misunderstanding collide in a cramped Northern home.
