Varyagi(2024)

Varyagi is a Russian crime drama series set in the small border town of Gorovets, near Latvia. When half the local police leadership is arrested in a corruption scandal tied to the region's lucrative cement plant, Moscow sends in Major Sergey Malakhov to restore order as the new police chief. Alongside captains Vadim Gruzdev and Ivan Shadrin, who take over the criminal investigation department, Malakhov must navigate a web of corporate greed and political intrigue that has reached federal level. As the three operatives work to clean up the department and investigate the sprawling conspiracy, they uncover just how deep the corruption runs in this remote outpost.
