Black Fruit(2024)

Black Fruit is a German series following Lalo, a queer Black man in his mid-twenties whose father's sudden death sends him spiraling into impulsive behavior that destabilizes his life. Alongside his best friend Karla, also queer and Black, Lalo navigates the messy work of self-discovery in contemporary Germany. As both friends chase versions of themselves they want to become, they confront the hard boundaries of reinvention and resilience. The series examines grief, identity, and friendship with unflinching honesty, capturing the weight of loss alongside the urgency of youth.
