Whether or Not is a Japanese drama series that follows Sui Mono, whose world collapses after a routine medical exam reveals she's infertile. Her boyfriend of seven years leaves her, and when rumors of her condition spread at work, she's forced to resign. Desperate for a fresh start, Sui's friend introduces her to Mao Tsukidome, a kind and attentive younger man who helps restore her confidence. Just as Sui begins to rebuild her life with a new job and apartment, she discovers Mao is her new neighbor. The series explores whether Sui can find genuine happiness and love after heartbreak, or if proximity will complicate her path to recovery.
